I'm really thrilled my work is being featured on Frederator ! Click here to see "Snap!shots of the Year" and other great animation stuff in this weeks Frederator episode.
Stanley Portobello, the famous but discreet spyparazzi is back ! Although he had a lot of hard work to do, he never lost his artistic sense of espionage... Happy animated year !
Finally, the book is now available for purchase ! I entered this contest about two years ago, and my typeface work was chosen to be included in the collection, among 80 other contestants.
"Artists are provided with eight vector shapes, called the Elements, which they are allowed to use within a given set of rules. The goal of the project is to show the importance of limitations on creativity. The results of the contest prove that even with a large number of limitations, a surprising variation of outstanding graphics is possible."
If you're interested in buying the book, you can do so at the Vormator website, or from the publisher, Bis publisher.
Here you will find the "Meet the winners" page of the myToons Contest.
And there's a short interview of each winner, including a photo and the animation. One interesting thing is that the winners are all from different countries (Greece, France, USA, Indonesia, Canada...)
I'm an art director and illustrator. I live in Paris with my wonderful wife and my adorable silly son. I eat chocolate everyday because it's good for me; I draw something everyday too, for the same reason.
I work for children and adults in both publishing and the press, but my true passion lies with animation.
